The NAUCS held a ceremony awarding certificates to participants of the training programme under the BELT (British Euro-Atlantic Language Training) project, and conducted a working meeting with representatives of the British Council in Ukraine and the British Embassy in Ukraine.

The event brought together participants of the Professional Skills training and project partners. Civil servants received certificates of completion of the training, which was aimed at developing practical skills in professional communication in English.

The BELT project is supported by the British Embassy in Ukraine and implemented by the British Council. It encompasses individual learning, online courses and specialised Professional Skills training for civil servants with a language proficiency level of B2 or above.

At the certificate awarding ceremony, Nataliia Aliushyna, the Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service, thanked partners for their support in developing professional skills and emphasised the importance of comprehensive language training.

“Initiatives that strengthen civil servants’ professional capabilities serve as an investment in Ukraine’s future. The BELT project opens up new opportunities for high-quality international communication,” she noted.

Following the ceremony, the Head of the NAUCS held a working meeting with representatives of the British Council in Ukraine and the British Embassy. Tom Miscioscia, Director of the British Council in Ukraine, and representatives of the teams involved in the implementation of educational programmes participated in the meeting.

The main topics of discussion included the results of the BELT project’s implementation, the effectiveness of training formats and further steps to expand cooperation. Special attention was paid to opportunities for expanding the programme, increasing access to training and introducing new educational components tailored to the practical needs of civil servants.

“We greatly value our partnership with the British Council and the support of the UK Government. Joint initiatives help shape modern, professional civil service capable of working effectively in an international environment,” emphasised Nataliia Aliushyna.

This meeting highlighted a shared interest in continuing cooperation and developing educational opportunities for civil servants, particularly in the context of strengthening their capacity for effective international engagement.
