One of the priorities of the NAUCS is to ensure the inclusiveness of the professional training system for Ukrainian civil servants. The demand for inclusiveness and barrier-free access is growing every year, as is the need to develop appropriate methodological tools for providers of such services. This was noted by Nataliia Aliushyna, the Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service, during a meeting of the International Technical Assistance Project “Human Rights for Ukraine” of the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine (UNDP).

"This focus is important both in peacetime and wartime. And in the context of post-war recovery, the issue becomes even more relevant. It is important for us to provide everyone with the opportunity to receive quality educational services in the context of overcoming the consequences of the war. Work in the de-occupied territories will also be an expected challenge for Ukrainian society. And the issue of human rights will be the cornerstone of the society's ideological guidelines and the formation of internal and external communications," said Nataliia Aliushyna.

According to the Head of the Agency, such cooperation is an important resource for the development of the public service. Joint initiatives of the NAUCS and the UNDP are timely, meaningful and promising in their implementation. Thanks to the joint work, it has already been possible to develop educational and methodological support for the professional training of civil servants based on a deep understanding of the value of human rights in the public service. The issues of ensuring human rights by public servants, in particular in the information sphere, and barrier-free accessibility, which have become more important in the context of war, have gained new content.

"We hope that during 2024-2026, as part of the second phase of the Project “Human Rights for Ukraine”, we will jointly implement a number of other useful initiatives," Nataliia Aliushyna said.
