In an interview with the media ‘Apostrophe‘, the Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service Nataliia Aliushyna noted the importance of civil servants learning English, given the relevant changes in legislation.
"According to the Law on the Status of the English Language, which will come into force after the cancellation of martial law, the rule that civil servants of category B will have four years to learn it, and civil servants of category A - two years. If you plan to connect your life with the civil service, you can study it now,"said the Head of the NAUCS.
She noted that young people often come to the civil service with fluent English, and middle-aged people are very motivated to learn English.
‘The NAUCS has a Speaking Club, an hour of English learning every Wednesday at 12:00. This is an opportunity to escape from routine work and satisfy the need for self-improvement. One of the motivations that is heard when people come to work with us is the desire to develop," Nataliia Aliushyna said.
