On the occasion of the Day of Civil Service of Ukraine, the NAUCS presented an educational series on the history of Ukrainian state-building "Ukrainian Heroes and Heroines: From Past to Present".
The educational series was initiated by the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service and implemented jointly with the High School of Public Governance with the support of UN Women in Ukraine and financial support from Sweden.
The series consists of ten episodes that cover different historical epochs - from the Princely Age to the Independence.
The filming was conducted in the best museums of Ukraine - the National Conservation Area "St Sophia of Kyiv", the Museum of Hetmanate, the Museum of Outstanding Figures of Ukrainian Culture, the Museum of the Formation of the Ukrainian Nation, the Museum of the Sixties, and the Museum of the Diaspora.
The filming was attended by 20 well-known speakers and experts.
Nataliia Aliushyna, Head of the NAUCS, and Sabine Fraser Gunesh, Head of the UN Women Office in Ukraine, welcomed the participants of the event.
"It is symbolic that we are presenting our series on the eve of the Day of Civil Service of Ukraine. Sometimes we lack the sense that we are the heirs of many generations of heroes who fought for Ukraine. And that today we are responsible for the existence of an independent Ukrainian state. This is our historical challenge. And it awaits our response," said Nataliia Aliushyna.
The presentation was attended by representatives of the Senior Civil Service (including the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Institute of National Remembrance, the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, etc.), the Kyiv City State Administration, international partners, public experts, and the media.
The educational series on the main milestones of Ukrainian state-building in the personalities of prominent Ukrainians will be used in training programs for civil servants and local government officials, and will also carry out an educational mission in the context of civic education to strengthen national unity and consolidate Ukrainian society.
