Nataliia Aliushyna, the Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service, noted the fruitful partnership in the implementation of joint projects aimed at transforming Ukraine's public administration system in line with European standards during a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Council of Europe Program ‘Strengthening Good Democratic Governance and Resilience in Ukraine’.
Since 2020, the Council of Europe Program has provided resources and expert support for the annual competition for best practices in implementing educational innovations in professional training for civil servants and local government officials. Representatives of the Council of Europe Program also joined the Coordination Office's work to implement the Law of Ukraine No. 3077-IX of May 2, 2023, “On Service in Local Self-Government Bodies” at the NAUCS. They also participated in the preparation of a guide with comments on the Law of Ukraine “On Service in Local Self-Government Bodies.”
Nataliia Aliushyna also highlighted the participation of the Programme's experts in the work of advisory bodies, working groups and initiatives. They contributed to the development of professional standards, model training programmes, the formation of organisational culture, and the development of a draft National Training Strategy for local self-government bodies. “I hope that new, equally important initiatives await us in the future. These include building integrity in public service and promoting and organising training events as part of the implementation of the Law of Ukraine ”On Service in Local Self-Government Bodies.
