Integrity plays a key role in developing the organizational culture of civil servants and local self-government officials. The National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service is interested in implementing relevant initiatives and projects. This was stated by the Head of the National Agency Nataliia Aliushyna during the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation on International Technical Assistance with the USAID Project "Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector" (Pro-Integrity).
As part of the project, it is planned to hold joint expert events to build an organizational culture based on integrity, including an Integrity Forum for civil servants and local government officials.
The document provides tools to promote a fair and open system of selection and promotion in public authorities based on competence and integrity. One of the tasks is to strengthen the capacity and professional training of members of competition commissions, human resources officers, civil servants, and local self-government officials, which will help attract motivated and honest candidates, including female and male veterans, to the public service.
Another important area is implementing a communication strategy to promote integrity in the public service, creating conditions for the recruitment of veterans, and developing and implementing professional development programs to promote integrity standards in the public service.
